where can I find good lesson plans to buy for secondary education?

Im a new teacher and I would like to at least have the option of finding some premade lesson plans and thought I would ask what the best options are.. from experienced teachers , thanks!
I did do a google search but mostly found things for free, which is great too, but I also want to see what is out there for sale that is good, some teachers I have seen have things with premade transparencies etc., not things they got online.

3. sometimes just a basic google search, you’d be surprised how much is already out there to be used

Where can I find lesson plans for drum lessons?

I am a drum teacher and I need to find a few worksheets/lesson plans for more advanced students. Any websites with PDF downloads, or at least viewable information I can copy for lessons? Thanks!

The most efficient way to teach drums, especially to newbies is to use drum books.

Order your students to purchase a dru book and guide them through it.

A good book to start drumming with is "Learn to play the drums" by Andrew Agutters.

There are 4 books to the series.

What are good lesson plans for children?

I have to make 8 lesson plans (Language, Math, Social/Emotional, Science, Music, Creative Movement, Creative Art and Food Experience) for young children that all relate to my theme, "Under the Sea". Any good suggestions? It will be greatly appreciated!

I would go to the library and find a large collection of children’s picture books, non fiction and fiction about sea creatures.
Language: read aloud and free reading time from the pile of library books you found
Math: cut out fish shapes and use for counting games or memory match type games
Social/Emotional: Talk about why and how fish travel in "schools" Have the children act out fish grouping together and working together for protection, for companionship, and working together to find food.

Music: Play the theme to the Little Mermaid
Creative Movement: Borrow or buy the new Imax movie "Under the Sea" and have the children imitate the movements of their favorite type of fish. The movie is probably too long to watch the whole thing without losing their attention, but you could show a segment or two. Replay the music from the movie or from Little Mermaid and have the children imitate the fish.
Creative Art: tear up colored paper and make large plain paper outlines of several different types of fish. Give each child a fish silhouette and a pile of colored paper scraps. Glue the papers onto the fish for a collage.
Food: sushi in class? (I’m joking!) You could bring in a wide variety of fish dishes and have the children try them. If that is not an option, maybe the local library has a collection of old food magazines. The kids could cut out pictures of different fish dishes, match them up with a picture of the type of fish used in the dish and stick them on a big poster.

I am looking primarily for infromation to help create lesson plans for US History, but any area of study may help.

The best I have found is www.atozteacherstuff.com … it has search for grade level or subject area. You could also try doing a search for "US History webquest" and that should give you quite a few sites for informational purposes.

How can I make my lesson plans for my second grade class more interesting and interactive?

I am a second grader that teaches all the core subjects: math, science, language arts, and social sciences. I am looking for some recommendations for games, songs, lesson plans etc,, that will enhance my students learning and strengthen my curriculum

Im not sure why everyone is giving you such a hard time. I totally understand your question!!

Well i would say try and use stuff they can see and touch and taste even!! Make the classroom environment more interactive.

Give students an idea and let them work in groups to come up with something on that topic, it gets their minds going and they know there is no wrong answer so they are free to give opinion.Later on when correcting then you can give them solid information and answer q’s.

The more real stuff you bring into the classroom the more exciting the lesson becomes and its something they will remember for a long long time.

Use the information you have on these subjects and make them into puzzles which groups can put together or maybe have a list of phrases in one side and names the other and get them to match the phrase to the name.

You could also do role plays and make them act out a plant and one can be the stem etc etc. Use the students and props and pictures. They all go a long way in childrens understanding and memory!!
