Are we spending too much on out childrens wardrobe

August 8th, 2010 | by admin |

According to a recent survey from Debenhams, parents spend more than 700 a year on their children’s wardrobes and no we dont mean childrens wardrobe as in their bedroom furniture, we mean that on average parents spend over 700 a year on their little ones outfits!
Am I the only one who thinks this a crazy amount of money to spend on clothes that only last 6 or so months.
Apparently the reason why parents are starting to spend so much on their child’s wardrobe, is celebrity culture.
It seems that celebrity parents such as the cruises et al are dressing their little ones in designer mini me clothing and average joe public is clearly beginning to think this is a great idea also.
However, I dont believe that, I think its actually because children’s clothes are just too damn cute nowadays and its far far to easy to just buy a little out fit here and another one there and at 20 to 30 pounds a pop, it soon adds up.
Crazy.
