    liabatud67: Not …
liabatud67: Not anything good. Never really trusted him but now, I have much less respect and trust.

You see, I kind of believe any man who would kill a woman and her children for food, is not really a good man. Even a man who jokes about killing a woman and her children for their food, is not a good man. But a male family member willing to do this, is way beneath my bench mark for being a human, closer to being animal than man.

    I just don’t need …
I just don’t need anything shiny for the public to see, and I’d be that way if I were a multi billionaire. I keep my goods under the hood. To many pieces of crap running around out there and it’s 7 different kinds of trouble to effectively repair their malfunction when they mess with you these days, so I just don’t play that game

That’s just civilizationally instilled neurosis though. Caged bunny syndrome I call it. It’s actually worse most places in the world than the US, but we’re catching up

    I have a family …
I have a family member who said, “I have a AR and when this all happens, I am going to come and kill you and take what you have”. I was shocked. He is not normally a loud bully, but he is pushy.

What you are saying is totally right. After he said this several times, I said “Thanks for letting me know. If I every see your face near my home, I will kill you first”. I don’t normally talk like that, so he knew I was telling the truth. Disturbing.

    I approve law …
I approve law against damaging your crops, but I agree with your logic here

In school if I saw a bully hurting someone I went after them. I didn’t care about win/lose, they had to stopped. I guess total commitment gave me advantage. I got beat down once, by Jesus

I was 12, he was 15 from mean street gangs of Mexico placed in Jr High. He was picking on a kid. I picked a fight. He tore me up bad then felt guilty, we became good friends

Not being a victim now means expulsion, of a lesson

    ..and I’d add that …
..and I’d add that for me this also applies for all users of YouTube. Whatever we vlog or comment, we’re going to have to accept the consequences of our choice to be on YouTube and the vids or comments we make. It may attract pleasant discourse, or thuggish childlike behaviour. I’d say that is the risk inherent in this kind of medium. I accept that. I know I’ve attracted both pleasant people and dweebs before, just with commenting alone.

    It may be freedom …
It may be freedom to take an scythe to my crops for ‘kicks’,for example. But its common sense that they should expect trouble from the planter if they’re caught. What else do they expect? Do they expect some outer force (like YouTube) to come in for them to hide behind and protect them as they carry on cutting? If they do, then there is some serious confusion there about what authentic freedom means. Authentic freedom means that whatever we do falls back to us, without any external buffers.

    Sounds sorta like …
Sounds sorta like my Dad. We live in Detroit no less. We moved there for work in the last of the ’70’s. My father had moved back to SE Kentucky to try to get back in the coal mines like he was when a youth.

I’m glad that didn’t work out because it is dangerous & basically unhealthy work. He didn’t want to go on government assistance and so we moved to Detroit and have been here every since.

It’s definitely NOT Shangrila but we’re contributors when we work for a living. :)

    I’m 15 and I know …
I’m 15 and I know what you mean by the new generation being spoiled and babied. It’s incredibly irritating to have to go through the whiny bull about being fair and helping those without anything that have the ability to help themselves. Keep doing what you’re doing Yankee. Your videos are awesome.
