In your first Major League baseball game, you go 4 for 5 with 2 homeruns. What do you think the fans will expect later on? For the Jays new catcher, J. P. Arencibia, days like that may not be relived as much as the fans would prefer.

The Jays boss Cito Gaston understands the special talent that this new kid Arencibia has. He also knows his potential future. Being a new catcher in the major leagues requires a learning curve and too reach his full capability Arencibia must recognize that.

When talking about Arencibia’s future playing time, Gaston said he planned to back the kid off for some time so he doesn’t worry too much.

With Jose Molina and John Buck on the Toronto Blue Jays catching staff, Gaston wants the kid to just sit back and learn in order to not put excessive tension on him.
